The apartment is in every quiet building in the back. The district Oberkampf Menilmontant is appreciated by a bohemian and trendy clientele. Restaurants of charm, market of street 4 times a week, trade opened late in the evening are near immediate.
Further to the cementary Pere Lachais within 5mn walking distance, the main places of interest are easy of acces from metros Menilmontant (line 2 for Gare du Nord), Saint Maur (line 3 for Opera, Roissybus and Grands magasins) or Belleville (line 11 for Pompidou Center, Hotel de Ville , Chatelet)

All taxes, management fees, heating, electricity and water are included in the rental price. However, arrivals and departures between 21H00 and 08H00 will be subject to a surcharge of 30 euros. (There is also a surcharge for arrivals and departures on Christmas, New Years and Easter)
The owners require a security deposit of 500 euros when you rent the apartment. There is no short term rental insurance in France. The security deposit is the only protection the owners have against potential damage to the apartment during a rental.
The security deposit may be paid either by credit card a few weeks before your arrival or in cash when you arrive. The preferred method is by credit card before your arrival. This gives you more flexibility for dropping off the keys when you leave

The appartment has an unusual but interesting and smart floor plan. Lots of rustic and old feel mixed with modern stuff.
We were missing a pair of scissors and a coffee mug or two, but after a mail to John we got the stuff the same day.
A faint odor from the very bottom of the stairs connecting the loft with the rest of the apartment but it wasn't too bad.
Overall we were very happy with our stay.

I went to Paris to spent four days with my sister and I found a very dirty flat. Anyway the neighborhood was very nice. We had to change the sheets because they had stains. Under the table there were some dirty socks. Wifi was available only for first 24 hours. I had to contact with the owner five times and the only answer was "how can I solve the problem?, in most places of Paris there was free wifi."
I wouldn't recommend this flat because it's was a unpleasant experience with it.
We had a wonderful time in Paris and mostly because of our quite small but very comfortable and convenient apartment. It's situated in a strategic position: Although it's really close to any kind of shop and many good restaurants and bars, it's in the internal part of the building so it is very silent. Absolutely suggested.
The apartment is smaller than the pictures, and is no so beauty as the pictures.
Actually this is not a recommendable place.
When we arrived we think "We should have gone to an hotel".
We never met John as from what I understand this is a company of various apartments in Paris, so we were greeted by Guillermo (I presume an employee) a very pleasant guy who was happy to give us some tips on the Area but as he had to shoot off to another apartment could not stay to long and chat.
The flat is small, smaller than the actual pictures (30 m in totall / 2 rooms ) but nice and clean. Kitchen is also smaller in real life! Bathroom is a few years old but clean. To be honest we where a bit disappointed with the size since for this price I think we could have got a larger / nicer flat but due to late booking this was one of the few available for our dates and Area,
Advantages: The area, Le Marais is one of the better spots to stay in Paris , (close to everything) and the district is quite trendy with many places to dine and wine and shops / Galeries and the Sunday market is quite an experience.
Disadvantages, the price and size of apartment, being an attic with fairly high windows does not help too much, although the flat is quite bright.
In all not sure if we got our value for money here, I have seen better flats with similar or lower prices, however the service was good and no real complains with the company or Wimdu
Would I go back to the same flat, I dont think so as next time I would book in advance just to find a better deal for my cash.
Excellent location!!! The apartment is in a great supurb surrounded by some of the cities best cafes. Only downsides were it was on rthe 6th floor with no elevater and the hot water does not last long. Other then that, the apartment is well equiped and i would definately rwcommend a stay here
Excellent appartment and excellent location. Well equipped and suiteful for a sall family.
The apartment is charming, quiet and well situated. It has everything that you need. I would suggest a couple of improvements : 1. The fridge needs to be changed or fixed as it was leaking water. 2. The extra pillows have to be changed as they were too dirty.
